I resent that and i resent this 'us' you're portraying. you're effectively saying im a stupid undisciplined pleb who should stay in my lane

Ironically Marx saw the working class' very inherent discipline to attack wage labour at the direct point of production to be its sole revolutionary virtue, not their morals, or their culture, which in any case is always sold back to em.

its too late for our generation but generations to come could set up networks and structures to facilitate serious scholarship

Which is weird given Mark's later embrace of a more individualistic form of anarchism prior to his passing. the whole acid communism stuff. It's ultimately an impossible project because individual transformations can only go so far, even of individual socialists. you make individual socialists craic but if the class is still just a mere class in itself and not a class for itself (I.E: the working class as a party/partisan of change) then you will just end up capitulating to the wellness industry.

the only thing worth doing is making a fun game that involves other people and allows you to operate at the limits of your own ability

In a very real sense the revolutionary proletariat doesn't exist today due to its defeats and fragmentations, and the tasks of communists is to reconstitute that class combativity. The class only exists atomised as a social fact of capitalism. And that's the fundamental weakness of his capitalist realist book. It ends up capitulating to sociological class analysis. In which case there's no real need for all this radical theory. Adam Smith and David Ricardo will suffice.

the ultimate task of dissensus is to generate a fun game that allows people to operate at the limits of their abilities and sometimes it falls into sync but everyone has a botched life to attend to and enough problems of their own so its no surprise we're mostly just marking time and trying to remember songs that have the word 'train' in them

dont get me wrong youve seen my flat you know i am tormented by the same things
fine, but i am lazy and self centred and disorganised and cant stay serious for too long, all fine. but brainpower? no i resnt you saying that. im the smartest boy on earth, just like you. this is a firmly desperately held belief that i need to hold on to. im nowhere near the erdution of nerds like poetix and third because i dont need to be

nerds like poetix and third are a thorn in the side of people like me and you. we cant admit theyre smarter than us cos we are the smartest boys in the world but then again they can read all these books that we cant read and say things we dont understand. very troubling. im not sure what the correct response is to the implicit challenge they represent. is it to say i dont read books are for nerds, or what
