That's true of course. But I did notice a large number of political commentators criticising the decision - for its cynicism really I guess, for being a very extreme case of that in which they knew exactly what a terrible person he was and the sort of problems he would cause but they thought he would win the election for them. The point is, their pearl-clutching resignations ring a little hollow now when they were warned so explicitly and so often that this could happen, and when they voted FOR him in a vote of confidence ten minutes ago.
