Detroit - the myth

its his dj sets i was mostly moaning about. are you in turkey again?

yes. and oh I mean he's not such a good dj. But I'm not obsessed with him so I can't comment on that too much. Moodymann and Theo are better djs in that orbit. Kyle Hall of course.

But really my detroit geezer is Carlos Souffront, mixing hard den haag acid with UK baby ford ultra minimal deep house/techno.

Can anyone post contemporary old school tracks? Doesn't have to be pure oldskool, but same sounds atleast.
Well, I pulled some tunes from Traxsource's essentials list. You actually can find new old school detroit tunes here and there, if you just keep searching. Listening to techno clips from Traxsource makes me feel to spin some that stuff...

^^ Whole release is worth checking: https://www.traxsource.com/title/1813035/holiday-in-beta-centauri

Must have been some imposters

I once saw a pair of guys in Birmingham around 2001 pretending to be Groove Armada. No one in the club sussed it

wouldn't be so cringe if luke's favourite kool fm sets aren't choc-a-block full of disco samples but anyway...
