Lol at Oasis, but even then I got a soft spot for the first album, the production is great.
It's funny that you don't find doom metal sexy, I really do, I think it's the womby pulsating-ness of the riffs. I don't find it depressing at all, merely a kindof aesthetic which I personally find does it for me when done well.
All the best gigs I've been to I've wanted to fuck straight afterwards, and even at the best best gigs during ( ahem...)...isn;t that what rock n roll is all about, really, when it comes down to it? I'm not saying there shouldn't be other roles for it to play, just that I think it's really really hard to do something simple well, especially if it's repetitive, the discipline involved in just doing one thing over and over and over again. I find alot of indie bands really unsexy, just too clean for me to be interested in them really.
