25) Dalglish - Dasda

off the album OtJohr (highpoint lowlife, 2001)

cytoplasmic ambient. genetic code and protoplasmic sludge vapourising all around you, transmuting itself into tentacled biological lifeforms. ambient as space music this isn't.

He's got a week to start!

If he fails to do so, I've got Quilliam to scour the forum for all his jihadist quotes and we'll get tommy robinson to stand outside his house calling him an enemy combatant.

third is a man at war with himself. both kurdish and turkish. a muslim and a communist. a bisexual.

be prepared for sonic revolution. for fantastical finchley connoisseurship. the anti-human agenda. the great overpowering. (and maybe some flatulent turkish aunt music).

the forum was in luke's image. now it is in mine. once this list is done dissensus will take it's third form.

take heed, for this time is soon...

the rise of the robocock.

third, if you're ever in berlin give me a shout. there's a bar around my corner that is exactly that: kurdish and turkish, muslim and atheist, communist and bisexual. it's always electric, there are expelled kurds from diyarbakir, there's the blondies from trabzon, the loonatics from adana and the more greek than turkish izmir girls and boys. so many fractions, tensions sometimes too, the only thing they have in common is a deep ingrained form of sadness. they have embraced me and taken me in their arms. now they even share their raki with me. i can introduce you as the rising robocock from london.

26) Terry Riley - Poppy Nogood And the Phantom Band

Really not much a fan of most high-falutin rhetoric around psychedelia mainly because it sounds like cheap exotic knock offs (i like exoticism as much as the next man but the cliches really wear thin) but this is basically a reverie in music. Love the egyptian elements here as well. totally absorbing. the purist essence of ambient for me. music that i don't need to think about. sublime.

27) François Bayle -- Les Couleurs de la nuit

The depths of electroacoustics. Initially sounding like a high tech laundrette in a philip k dick novel travelling backwards in time, and then the acid hits and everything dissolves. disorienting, apocalyptic, synaesthetic, confusing. the purist distillation of his work. the cogs of virtual reality in aural form. echoes of bygone worlds.

done my head in listening to that. bit too maudlin for right now jobs. i prefer the vocal version of 'you're no good' that freaks out a bit, the one used in that 'mixtape' video by oliver payne and nick relph. it's on boiler room. not as good as it used to be, as with so much video art, but still pretty good

I've just had a therapy Skype session - am requireed to do a certain number per year for my MA. Been working with a guy who uses Eugene Gendlin's Focusing - it grew out of person centred work and is all about tuning into a felt sense and perhaps allowing images to alive. I have a touch of insomnia atm and it's really put me in touch with how knackered and rushed I'm feeling. I put on that Terry Riley track and I feel like I want to turn it into a deep bath and bathe in it.

28) X-103 - Eruption

Well you know I'm like a pendulum. As soon as things get too yoga-y i immediately have to tilt to the other extreme. jeff mills' most rushiest track. other world forming. the soul of detroit for me.

29) Bizzy B & Equinox - The Brain Crew (VIP)

musique concrete, just 4 u london style. madder and more fucked up than any home listening electronic music at the time, still more fucked up than most. the stuff of history.

the way the craner section came after the al anfal section was horrifying.

it rendered all the electro soul hollow and plastic. all meaningless. i've never heard nihilism sound quite like it.
