big l was the precise point it went too far. just tipped over the edge.

anything on one side of him is fine, he's the biting point for it all going terribly wrong.

85-99 bpm is the work of the white man and his devilish cannabinoid ways.

100-125 -- 160 is the sweet spot.

It's not a million miles away from the patterns on illmatic

it's an AZ impersonation

eminem became great when he dropped the rigidity and embraced his own cartoon persona

then he became shit when he brought back the ridgidity but with added angst

although he's still capable of brilliance e.g. the ringer

but the stuff where he raps at 250mph is awful

'it's the return of the .. oh wait,no way, you're kidding, he didn't just say what i think he did, did he?'

like there's quite an intricate web of rhyme/assonance going on here but he makes it seem totally natural, conversational (and he's adopting the voice of the shocked audience)

whereas 'the way i am' which was sort of the birth of silverage eminem

'i sit back with this bag of zig zags and this bag of this weed'

again it's quite clever cos it's a proper sentence that you might say, and he's inflecting it with rage, but you can really hear what he's doing...

the technique comes more and more to the fore, you begin to feel he's sticking stock images in just to serve the technique, etc.

EVERY OTHER GENIUS IN HISTORY HAS BEEN A MASSIVE CUNT NOW LOOK AT ME. A FRIENDLY LOVING NURTURING GENIUS. VERY RARE. DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY DAY.

Fair point this. Needs taking into consideration.
