Dinosaurs!

Yeah!

A thread for stories about dinosaurs. There was one today.

French fossil hunters have discovered huge dinosaur footprints, said to be among the biggest in the world.

The footprints were made about 150 million years ago by sauropods - long-necked herbivores - in chalky sediment in the Jura plateau of eastern France.

The depressions are about 1.5m (4.9ft) wide, corresponding to animals that were more than 25m long and weighed about 30 tonnes.

I first outlined my explanation in 1957 during a broadcast on French television. I still remember the uproar that followed, and I still stand by my hypothesis: that the star explosion that killed the dinosaurs was deliberately induced, designed to set off a slow process of evolution leading to intelligent life; that we were created by extremely powerful beings. Knowledgeable both of the laws of physics and of the laws of genetics, these beings who could truly be called gods-set in motion a series of events that will not stop with man but will continue until this evolution results in other gods, beings equal to their creators.

Obviously, this hypothesis is very bold.

I've been reading some fringe science threads that claim there was a catastrophe that peppered the Earth's surface with supersonic particle of iron. Some bloke found a load of old mammoth tusks in Canada and they were all scored with impacts and embedded with highly-magnetised iron fragments.

Same account talks about flash-freezing of megafauna, perhaps in the same event. That's why mammoth are often found with full stomachs or otherwise going about their steppes roaming business, but suddenly dead. as if the vacuum of space touched the Earth's surface due to some wild plasma electrical interaction with the sun that rolled the atmosphere back like a scroll. All part of the electric cosmos theory the account promotes.

BIG THREAD
The rock that hit the Earth 66 million years ago was so large the rear of it was still in space when the front of it was balls deep in preMexico.

There aren't even the same dinosaurs that there used to be. Brontosaurus, demoted to the status of never having even been a thing. And they have feathers now, wtf.
