Just seen the medical officer advice that the lockdown may continue in some form until autumn.
I don't see how that's tenable really. Eventually people will just decide they prefer the risk of infection, either for themselves or others, to indefinite lockdown.
I think there may be a big political and cultural split coming. At the moment it's obscured because there's a unity around the idea we have to do whatever we can to control the virus. But that's a false unity I think. In a few months we're gonna be faced with one group of people who want everyone in their homes until it's over and another group who are willing to take the chances. I think that's going to be a huge mess
