I was all pleased with that sermon I thought you'd all go, oh yeah, that's great, we want to be poets like you now

I loved it. I’m hoping the series continues, you’ve done how to write, how to listen, how to make love is the logical next step.

"First dim the lights, put some sensual music on, atmosphere is all important...
all the senses are in play here so make sure you're wearing some nice aftershave
preferably something which accentuates your primary masculine attributes..."

yeah corse thought thats what i was saying

but theres also the thing of that feeling when you happen to encounter, say, a bit of music where you squirm, seize up, hairs stand up, look around shiftily, make sure no one mistakes you for the kind of person who likes this! and maybe trusting that theres good reason for that reaction, pay attention to why, pull it apart, where do you locate it in your body etc rather than just "its music for the boys in your year who you didnt like"

hmm. something like this?

I suppose stuff like this would fit the bill for me. that being said its not a total guilty pleasure I can enjoy it when peaking on 1.5 grams of mdma.

corpsey enjoys it sober in daily life which leads me to believe he hasn't had an end of the world acid trip.

but yeah. its crackin in the right context, and only the right context. otherwise it's atrocious.

no both of those are fine one example is when my mate would always borrow my laptop and leave these hospital records mixes on and then i would open it at the library or something and it would blare out this bootleg football highlights music, pretty unbearable in all situations and im not brave enough to try to chemically alter that response yet.

x factor tear-jerks and key changes like i was saying, adele hello, blink 182 i miss you, hans zimmer planet earth. Gunshots to celine dion is an interesting example because a lot of dancehall is unabashed with this sentimentality.

See we can just admit it because we're emotionally honest poets whereas the rest are trying to be all incidentally into avant-garde and wondering what karl marx would think if he were here.
