From working in mental health stuff and getting a million pitches from chancers I know you don’t need any qualifications or wisdom or actual knowledge to go around doling out life advice to depressed and vulnerable people. Just money and confidence and good looks and a massive horse like neck

yoga should be made illegal in this country. strict 5 year prison term if you are caught practising

No no no this is the thing. Now you're being that northern scorn guy in the other thread. Just cos the cunts take it over doesn't make the thing cuntish. My mum taught yoga for years ok.

For the past four months, every two weeks, I have been wandering over to my refrigerator, fetching out for myself a shotglass-sized vial of pig whipworms from Thailand, and swallowing the entire vial. But I don’t stop there. Two weeks later, I drip a tiny pipette down my throat of rat tapeworms, harvested by a laboratory in the UK.

Why the hell would I be inoculating myself with what are widely considered to be vicious little parasites? It all started when I was visiting with a fellow health enthusiast, who informed me that he had been exploring the world of something called “helminthic therapy”, that both he and his brother had been swallowing these kind of worms every 10-14 days, that his usually problematic gut had “never felt better” and that he planned on continuing to eat tapeworms and whipworms for the rest of his life. I was intrigued.

And thus I proceeded to take a deep dive into the wonderful world of helminthic therapy.

I've come to see my lack of self discipline as my biggest problem. There are all sorts of other problems, but I think a lot of them either stem from lack of self discipline or survive and flourish because of it.

well you cant be disciplined if you dont know what you want to do. what would you discipline yourself to do exactly?

Let's be Accountability Buddies! One weird trick to solve all our problems

I think even not knowing what I want to do is related to the lack of self discipline. It's an inability to decide. Part of that's self doubt, of course, but it's also being lazy, putting off the decision indefinitely.

There's a Rodin quote I can't find where he says that you can read a person's passions in life from looking at their bodies.

I don't want to be judgemental of anyone else, but when I look at my flabby body I "read" not so much a passion for eating as a weakness of willpower.

shiels tell us about your ayuasca retreat please, was it any good?

I did get a lot from it yes. Bit of a complex thing to write about. There's a few posts in the 'what does spiritual' mean thread that touch on it if you're interested, and happy to answer questions

Keeping the possibilities open! Better to believe you have potential genius than actually do something and remove all doubt

Anyway I don't want to make this a thread about my problems. I do think the internet is designed to sap you of will. It's in the interests of the money makers to have you follow their breadcrumbs.

Attention economy and that. The nerd-matrix has us locked in. I have plenty of tricks to escape though, first month is free for you and only £5.99 a month after that
