Beast of Burden
I like it. I love it. It is the most interesting aspect of the present, and it is related but also opposite to the primordial, instinctive sludge of modern politics which is still facilitated by design and mediated by screens.

Interesting to think about this in relation to those exquisite bits in jungle I was wanking over in the other thread

A sense of reaching for something transcendence, but in this pop music that's sort of smuggled in, is it just impressive lighting?

Is it like "Skyfall"? Hokum dressed up as a Druid.

It's 80's drama abstracted in artificial space rather than stadiums. sound objects that fill and decorate the space you're in now rather than refer to one elsewhere

There's definitely a robotic glaze to this stuff, a perfected sheen - like on TV now, even if you hate a show the chances are it's IMPECCABLY edited.

The emotion in it is real but as you say simult abstracted.

I suppose it is a bit powdered wigs and stockings, too

Haunted by mandatory moodiness
