RIP indeed. pleasantly surprised to see he's in Moonshine County Express, that's a movie I intend to see this week. sad to hear of his passing.

Annabel on telly and I really like this scene from 1.45 or so... but didn't they copy that trick from a seventies Italian horror where a young boy runs and jumps into someone's arms but when he arrives he's a man?

Either way - beautifully simple and effective (although if I'm wrong then I guess this doesn't belong in this thread).

It's all I remember... but don't worry, luckily I got a friend who knows everything about every film that was ever made ever. Very slight exaggeration but if there was a film made in Europe between 1960 and 1985 he will know everything about it.

This is somebody I would like to meet.

Interesting that that scene has been copied so many times...cos it works and it's easy I suppose.
I have a real weakness for horror films that are rubbish but which have a couple of great moments. Like the Grudge - not exactly a great film but lots of effective moments strung together. I wouldn't forgive that in other films though.

Yeah that's a classic. His other film, the one with brando, about an uprising in the Caribbean , is also very good, tho a bit more rough round the edges.
