Cuteness is an interesting one I think in that there two seemingly contradictory reactions come into play.
So, generally I resent cuteness because it suggests a kind of vacuity, a tweeness, a stupid gawping surface sheen appoach to life.
Yet also you can get those guys who are into Japanese cuteness. And there my reaction to those (western men) who are into it is to suspect that there's something deeply seedy, wrong un about them. Something sick and fascistic. But that's the opposite of the first reaction!
