Reminds me of grown adults on the b3ta messageboard talking about eating "all teh nommy bacons" ca. 2006.

I have a pretty visceral reaction to the use of 'acid' as a countable noun. It's nearly as bad as when Americans talk about playing with 'Legos'.

perfectly reasonable, like calling Brillo Boxes "Brillos," or Ziploc baggies "Ziplocs"

Re the grid and patterns, there was a bit in dickens yesterday where someone gets complimented by being called a 'pattern'

"Lord! You're no trouble at all. I never see a young woman in any station of society--and I've seen many elevated ones too--conduct herself like you have conducted yourself since you was called out of your bed. You're a pattern, you know, that's what you are," said Mr. Bucket warmly; "you're a pattern.""

Brain imaging on DMT subjects produced evidence that showed height delta wave functions, functions usually associated with sleep wave brain activity. A waking dream.

On phone. Someone previously posted about a venture capital company investing in psychedelics for trauma.....does anyone have that link? Can’t seem to find it is all.

EMDR is a tool we already have for that (and can be applied for multiple alternative purposes), but that’s a world away from the ever receiving the same level of funding. Ridiculous really.

Could see enough to see this scheme is for mdma.

It’s a conundrum. The science is proven with psilocybin and palliative care patients in reducing anxiety. It’s proven for alleviating post traumatic stress. Those two sectors alone are hugely underfunded as it is. The question is, if a company rep from a Fortune 500 listed organisation became an accredited psychedelic guide, my mind leaps to Palmer Eldritch scenarios.

First thought best thought - by proving there’s a pharmacological intervention to treat ptsd, you effectively sanction more militarised interventions in the world. If you can reintegrate veterans back into civilian life, then you can endorse more time spent in-theater and more war generally. The bias of financial investment has little to no interest in serving the common good, ie trauma from non military events. The big pay-offs for these companies will come from likes of the DoD and M.O.D., not the NHS.

Aye, briefly, hence my aversion to the gaps between the lines of these ‘investment’ portfolios and how they’ll play out in places like the M.O.D., a bastion of cuntery if ever there was one.
