Mr. Tea

Let's Talk About Ceps
Obv it all feels a bit Naomi Klein Shock Doctrine-ish, but my take we're rather heading towards a society which has one thing in mind: maintaining a *healthy* population before all (even before "profit/growth"). The health metrics are getting calibrated and a new biopolitics awakens, hey we might even has to revive that guy Foucault again.

And I think there's a pretty good chance that this will lead to a far more conservative/collectivist culture in the west.
Given the absolute fucking state of many of my fellow Brits, moves in the direction of a healthier society would be no bad thing, *if* that can be achieved without a bonfire of basic rights and freedoms.

Yeah, it's what the WEF in the new year is all about. But Tea continues to block dissensus' resolve to rise up and put an end to this situation. He's like the Soviet Union on the security council. If he moves, we all move.
I'm flattered that you think me this influential!

Better not be another fucking lockdown.

Time to rise up, this is ridiculous. Has the government been bought by Amazon and pharma. Shit is well fishy.

I mean, I don't give a shit personally, I love a good lockdown. Clean air, empty roads, nice. But the socialist in me spares a thought for people that have real jobs and lives.
There's a socialist in you?! Did you eat his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti?

How would a curfew make any difference anyway? Is the virus only active between 10 and 5?

the only people who respond to surveys are old timers. seems like a case of oldies having no clue what to do (or realizing there is nothing they can do) but feeling they have to do something, so why not a curfew when most of them are in bed anyway.

Maybe they didn't actually ask anyone. They just cooked up a poll to push public opinion in the direction of a curfew.

But YouGov is an independent market research organization, not a branch of the government.

So? The papers aren't part of the government either and they still peddle shit for them. I'm not saying it's definitely the case, but polls can shape public opinion as well as measure it.

sure they can, but I thought you implied the government was pushing a certain curfew result when it was actually an independent research organization.

yougov aren't independent, they're ran by the german lad who founded Conservative Home & Tory MP Nadhim Zahawi

so that was probably an underhand litmus test
