Their rate of new infections is at an all time high. Their death rate seems to be declining after a small second bump, but I guess that's because they know how to care for patients better now and maybe because most of their very vulnerable died already.

But as I've pointed out about 300 times, it's certainly not the case that a country must "doing OK" just because their death rate isn't horrific, because many people who don't die will nonetheless be left in a pretty bad way.
and this is the place which didnt have a first lockdown? whats the argument, that it's not doing a lot better than those that had two?

Dammit, you're right: when it comes to Covid, only the 5-year average exists. It's like when the Premier League took over from Division 1 all over again.

Because they followed the established WHO pandemic protocol that has been used in every case since the War. Were not cowed by sensationalist propaganda out of China in March. Followed the science, in other words.

But how can you absolutely sure the mouthwash isn't laced with a slowly-accumulating deadly poison or an irreversible contraceptive?

If it was a strange, novel mouthwash rushed through by competing pharmapaths and administered by ham-handed militaires, then I would worry.

why is it that sweden seem to have escaped the second wave?
BTW, meant to reply to this the other day.

If this is "Sweden escaping a second wave", then I have to wonder what "Sweden having a pretty bloody massive second wave" looks like:
