From the living room you have quite a pleasant view over the marshes and the Tegus... albeit split by a tower block in the middle (though behind that there is a disgusting factory by the river so maybe that's not such a bad thing). You could also place these two pictures next to each other and make a whole tableaux kinda thing if that makes sense.

The other side (bedroom) looks out on to a pretty depressing carpark and a load of flats - washing hanging out, old men smoking in the windows, cats wandering around from sill to sill. At the left (just out of pic) there is a mechanic work shop kinda place.

Sky looks blue and clear but it's actually really cold.

the only thing i don't like about my flat is that it's a ground floor flat and doesn't have any nice views. when i moved in i thought this wasn't really important. i said to myself, who cares about a view, it's a flat i'll only use it to sleep in and to cook. i've now come to realize that it's very important actually and i've set myself the goal to find a new flat this year with a nice view and preferably also a balcony.

my sleeping room and the kitchen faces the courtyard which means i can't see the sky and since it's ground floor i have to put the curtains up often otherwise everybody can look inside.

more glances, to check the weather and light conditions or see if the shop next to millennium kebabs is open - the window is directly behind where i sit most of the day so i just have to turn to glance.

there are a couple of skylights too but they are just displaying unbroken grey. once in a while i will see the moon through one of them though

@yyaldrin very, very european. that rocking chair would be a wreck in a london courtyard within the week in anywhere similar. also the integrated courtyard bus stop is not something that would happen on this island. rows of unstolen bicycles. proud flag

My bricks are old bricks. This building is relatively old and so is the warehouse opposite. There are some houses you can't really see with newer, but not unattractive bricks opposite.

@IdleRich did you get someone to take those for you? they're alright
Yeah took those right now this minute. That's exactly what you can see now. Although they don't really do justice to the view.... we have a telescope on the balcony to properly look at the river and so on.

On top of the billboard hoarding you can see a fishing rod and line a plastic hawk once hung from. It was intended to scare off the pigeons but the pigeons ignored it and then the hawk blew away in the wind a few weeks later.
