Love that bin laden one, was listening to his new album last night and that was one the standouts.
Amazing gaseous production throughout, even though some tracks are a bit half formed (there are 35 of them though).

Don't know much about Jahvillani but how good are these?

Lizzad pon limb - the style a style riddim is very cool and exotic sounding

Smooth - great guest spot from Skillibeng and another brilliantly produced riddim

Mighty, on the private jet riddim

Iwaata - like Rytikal I think he's got a bit of a 90s flow to him at times

Science

Havoc - a collab with Intence

Flutes!

That tune is magic and I reckon forms a sort of trilogy with Nuh Regular Bwoy and Through The Gate, same soundworld.

Barty's probably pointed this out many times before, but Intence's nasally goblin voice really suits autotune. I watched a video of him doing a freestyle on westwood without autotune and the big reverb and it just wasn't the same.

Loving this new (to me) sound, it sounds like a significant youthful fracture, almost a new subgenre?. Something that maybe has been a long time coming. The sparser productions seem to be a big factor. Interested in how this is getting played in the dance if it is at all.

Did you read this at the time?

I know an online publication called 'afropunk' doesn't bode well but it's honestly worth reading that for some good background.

I was like, fuck I must have been blocked last night no recollection of writing that, doesn’t even sound like me...
