Ooh....
US Capitol Police confirm to jparkABC that they are investigating the tours of the Capitol conducted by some House members on January 5 after dozens of lawmakers expressed suspicions that they may have been "reconnaissance" tours.

I think that’s a good question and probably would be an interesting thread. I’ve not done nearly enough of it (I guess few people who read for pleasure have).

Not exactly enemies but Dworkin and Nietzsche are great writers I don’t agree with.

Also white supremacist stuff - but you need to read it with anti stuff to hand.

I feel I should read Adam Smith, Hayek and all that. But probably won’t.

Joe Muggs’ book on sound system culture. (jk).

I've got that book but it's been trapped in England with my parents for about eight months now. Can't wait to read it when travel becomes possible once again.

I've found most far-right writing jumbled and prolix and don't think I learned anything valuable (I mean the actual far right, like neo-nazis or 'might is right' libertarians...not noise musician edgelords or retired football hooligans).

I'd rather go jogging with steampunks than read Marx or Chomsky, but the right-wing stuff makes me feel quite tired and depressed after wading through it. It's more a study of extreme paranoia and narcissism than a useful tactical insight. You're better off reading books about it than those written by the people involved.

I was vaguely amused by some OTT Kurt Saxon survivalist manual on resisting the NWO and living on leaf condensation in the woods (also by the thought of some wannabe Unabomber losing his hand trying to follow the 'make an IED' instructions - for all their blather about white unity, these people really don't give a shit about each other's welfare).

I haven't read it in a while, but I liked Jim Goad's stuff. Not sure what he's doing now, but "The Redneck Manifesto" and "Shit Magnet" made some interesting points about media hypocrisy when it comes to class and crime, and he's a really good writer. Antifa would disagree, but I think he's more of a 'fuck off, leave me alone' type than a proper right-winger; he was ripping the piss out of Trump supporters on Twitter recently, and has told neo-nazis who've insisted he's 'one of them' to get lost repeatedly.
(ETA: done some Googling and, er, would steer clear of the recent stuff).

Maybe there is a thread about US gun control where it would fit better?
Although the timing does suggest it is related to Trump's defeat - although of course it may not be.
