Between you you've managed to compile all the most gratingly unpleasant music ever conceived and recorded. Quite impressive. Why does the guitar lend itself to such horrible caterwauling?

theres probably something about the cult of loudness itself which naturally topples over into the punitive

pass the sick bucket
ive always said that if you truly wanted to be what punk ideologically professes to be, you wouldn't speak truth to power but record a narcissistic love song as a barking military order

Japan understood this, they took rock away from its most song like forms and piled on the man of steel image. Europeans had to wait for techno to do it for them. and even then it was a minority.

this is one of my favourite songs of the paranoid cold war provncial home recording nutcase era, incredible how karl blakes voice transforms into the guitar solo at the end like christopher lee turning into a crap animatronic bat

oh weird, yeah it is creepily satisfying, the whole sound is pretty thin, the guitar is quite weedy and so when it just doubles up on the vocal melody it feels like breaking a golden songwriting rule. gives it that arch subversive cruise singer taking a swipe at the history of pop music flavour that feels characteristic of the 80s, or that fantasy version at least. similar resolved offness in this just not guitars

I definitely hear a crooning cruise singer yeah, possibly a seasick one... also nicely misanthropic lyrics.
