Reverb and Echo

That's perhaps the least scary "hound" I have ever seen! But fantastic cover version - although checking on discogs and seeing the cheapest 7" is £55 then I might have to stick with the Sabs version..
It is quite collectible I guess. It's on a compilation for some German TV show if you need it.

I was just shocked at the price! That was the sort of thing that you could pick up for 5p in the days before discogs. I was horrified year or so ago when I saw James Last's HAIR album ( my copy cost me 10p ) selling for £40 with a "breaks" sticker attached...

Yeah but that Cindy und Bert was going on eBay for more than a ton for years... discogs brought the price down if anything.

Styles most associated with echo and reverb; surely dub, surf maybe.... psych? The last two aren't doing so well but surprisingly strong representation from country.

Talent Crew - Crazy Negril

Lee Perry in the Black Ark era was a master of echo & reverb, but this is a particularly unhinged example - to my untutored ears it appears as everything except the bass is being fed through tape echo or spring reverb, or some times both at once, resulting in a full on aural assault, with the bass providing the only anchor in a sea of psychedelic sludge

Unfortunately the Pressure Sounds 10" reissue ends two minutes earlier than the original Reggae Bloodlines12" release..

Reggae bore notes: rhythm evolution is Alton Ellis "I'm Still in Love" -> Trinity "Three Piece Suit" - > Althea and Donna "Uptown Top Ranking" -> Althea and Donna "Gone To Negril"
