Well, it had to happen for thing to keep growing.
Myself was and still sceptical esp. on Ethereum - i met the programmers in 2015 and great plans yes, using 2015 tech ? yes ... hey have a hard one as they try to get to 2.0
Meanwhile, floating all crypto boats in a risky way today Coinbase debuts @ NASDAQ today

Why Coinbase matters

The company is the first major crypto business to trade publicly in the U.S. Its size means that its stock is likely to be held by mainstream index funds, giving average investors (indirect) exposure to the world of crypto.

POV on all this is ...
Crypto, decentralization, acceleration, shifting status of the Nation State,
oppression by the minority ( thinking Whites in US here ),
working from home during COVID, COVID itself, the next COVID and the 10 after that one, how long the Chinese people have to deal under the CCP,
Uighurs out West in China, Myanmar, whether there will be another Olympics after
Japan, the shifted role of trad 'Galleries' ( taking 50 % ), mirror worlds comprised of exact copies of every city and town - all combine to make for what can be a major
shift - moves forward, sideways and back simultaneously.
Shit just got deeper this week.

Have a feeling HMG is right in thinking it will go 6 digits this year. Definitely too late to be getting rich for most of us. But wouldn't hurt to throw a few hundred at it if you have it lying around.

And if it does break 6 digits, expect fireworks.

September 28th has been named as the day it reaches the top, around $200k. For good technical analysis reasons.

As soon as the new coin I've spotted drops, I'll share it here. It's more bitcoin than bitcoin and I know the fella who came up with it. Brother of one of my best mates at university, he was mining lots of btc back in 2012, owns a massive stack probably, but doesn't like how it's shaken out.

As for satoshi, s/he's probably British. Or Hal Finney, RIP. But with videos like this floating around, you have to wonder if other influences were at play when it comes to the economic salvation of humankind

It very well could just go and go.
Feels like the old times of boom and burst might not apply for each and every thing by 2021

i find the whole thing a bit frightening, as if we're reaching some sort of financial endgame.

It very well could just go and go.

*Goldie voice* Tectonic shifts of paradigm going on, man. The rule book's been vaporised. All we can do is sit back and watch

Well, now you being them up ( tectonics ) , have had one eye on Japan of late.
W the missus there ( and safely just out of Tokyo proper ) pinging back and forth near daily, feels things are priming for a good sized 'shift'.
Jeez

Blows me away that people just rebuild instead of moving out a bit. Friend of mine was in one in Turkey when she was really young. Under the rubble for 24hrs or so before they got her out.

Cities will dissolve, or disperse. Localism, patronage, probably monarchy. We've had 3 decades of globalist, neoliberal, fiat financed, atomised fake civilization. All of that will be overturned. Root and branch reinvention and resistance against state corporatism embodied by China and the WEF.

Bit of a hot topic of late

Mid-late last year I was looking at the markets to see which coins were still active from back around the first pump to 1000usd. Could barely recognise any. Got into crypto around the beginning of that pump, made a bit of money, got a buzz and started playing at day trading alts. Lasted maybe a year. Was exciting. Had 9 or 10 BTC across various exchanges at one point. Gambled it all away daytrading, natch. Had to laugh tho DOGE was still listed at something like 20 Satoshis. Thought about buying a chunk because those kinds of coins always end up getting pumped for fun. There's sentimental attachment in crypto for DOGE because it was the first meme coin. Before that, crypto was purely serious biznizz but DOGE marked a change and a bit like Gamestop earlier this year, brought in a whole bunch of n00bs and internet kids for the whales to play with. Some of em made out like bandits mind. So last year I was close to buying some DOGE because stagnant coins like that, especially if they were significant at some point are always good for a pump, but thought better of it. 'Nah, too risky' I thought.

But then fast forward to December 2020 and

And now, in April 2021 they recently peaked at around 260 - and still going.
