Yeah we actually kept him off school for a day because of it so he didnt have to wear a mask, but you can't keep doing that because of a flipping cold sore, can you?

Anyway, the main point I was making is its obviously a bad idea making young children wear masks. It's unhygienic for one.

I guess in uk schools they have the 'bubble' system to supposedly make up for them not wearing masks in the classroom, but they have that here as well so it just seems really extreme.

As long as you’re reassuring kids are pretty resilient. Address their worries openly. Our youngest sat up one night and asked “is this a war Dad?”. Not at all mate, just a lurgy and like other infections, people get ill

I’m grateful that their imaginations are still brimming with ideas for skiving off school, rather than getting unnecessarily worked up. Bit of a balancing act. I hope they look back on all this and remember what a craic they had, in among the insanity, political ineptitude and misinformation. And that I attempted to play that cursed English game you all call cricket, with an upside down bat. Brian Lara be fucked

My wife had the Astra Zeneca yesterday and had a night of chills and felt a bit urgh today. She's desperate to go to Greece this Summer, I'm not bothered and prefer to preserve the germline 🧬 or shell out on PCR bullshit if necessary.
