it looks to me like a massive field - but that's probably just my perspective - no wider really than the New York Rave thread.

so we're talking the scene around:

ART/the black dog/B12/nuron/lukeSlater

but also aGuyCalledGerald/orbital/babyFord/theHolyGhost/LFO/aphex twin (not TOO much RDJ - lets put him back in that context)

jumpin and pumpin/theFutureSoundOfLondon would be great to air some of these very underrated twelves

ditto autechre - early twelves are OK but lets see them in historical context

slightly less well-known stuff like iueke/mark broom/RAC/eon/ubik

a bit like this mix but NOT really a bleep extravaganza (LET'S LEAVE BLEEP OUT IT)

Dave Clarke - Red 2 ( Wisdom To The Wise )

I still remember the first time hearing this - in a club, skinning up, chatting, breaking off mid-conversation to find that I'm dancing on a table top with my mates, all hands in the air.. this was a big tune....
dave clarke Red was MASSIVE and i've NEVER heard it. i think it was snobbiness on my part actually. thank you.

it's got a cheeky inner city sample in there from "good life" or "big fun"

detroit worship definitely a large component of all this.
