it has a lot in common with girl groups like the shirelles. teenage sonorities. the dance. boys. worries about sex and love (i wonder if i take you home, would you still be in love, baby)

this produces its own mode of pathos, abilities which fail to meet ambitions for example, a cheap mass-market and off the shelf attempt at glamour
i dunno man, when the music works the distinction between real and fake glamour disappears, one of the reasons it can be so effective i.e. the magic spell has worked

but the spell is so fragile and works almost by belief alone

some disco 12"s have a male vocal on one side and a female vocal on the other, excellent policy, should be more widespread

if you're a wire reader, they did a good latin freestyle primer a couple of years ago (issue 425, July 2019).

New Order took a lot from freestyle as well, also had charmingly crap singer

"confusion" was engineered by John robie, mixed by Arthur baker and jellybean Benitez, and supposedly debuted on reel-to-reel at the Fun House in NYC.

great moments in Fun House history: me, a young puny white dude in line, get up to the door, bouncer looks at me and says "you work out?" I'm like "huh?", the other bouncers all snicker, and lets me in.

only a certain small sliver of it. I envy the experiences many of you have with rave/hardcore/jungle.

the difference is that you weren't 2 years old when they were going raving
