the two big things for people my age was the grand royal retrospective and the arkology boxset. he had zero presence on radio which is interesting. my favorite is peobably the meditations gear off of arkology

There's that amazing tune on the Morvern Callar soundtrack which apparently isn't actually him. This one,

Apparently it's actually by a guy called Mike Brooks and there's an alternate mix on a Revolutionaries album/compilation called Channel One Revisited Dub. It was mistakenly released as a Lee Perry thing on an album called Blood Vapour,

Yeah, that and another couple of wrongly attributed tracks were on that 'Dub Chill Out' CD - which despite the cheapo packaging and completely messed up track list (there are Scientist tracks credited to King Tubby IIRC) was a great compilation.

Where to even start with this guy...always loved this one

And this superb attack on vampire Chris Blackwell and his evil witch secretary Denise Mills:

"Kung Fu Meets The Dragon" is surely one of the best dub LPs ever. RIP.

Wild Horses
Long time personal fave:

The whole of this George Faith LP is on Spotify and is fucking wild if like the vocal pieces:

There's an incredibly rude track off History Mystery Prophecy that used to crack me and my mates up when I was younger, must see if I can find it.

The Gatherers - Words

this is one those riddims where I can listen to version after version - hypnotic, dread, uplifting, spiritual vibe
And the Blackboard Jungle dub where the sound cuts out like a mini-earthquake's gone off

There were so many incredible moments, like when the Upsetters suddenly hit you out of the blue with those Meters-on-speed funk numbers on 'Eastwood Rides Again'... or that gloriously odd cover of 'Soul Man' on 'Double Seven'...or all the weird spacey effects on 'Roast Fish...'

Lee Perry & Lord Creator - Such Is Dub

"take your time"
"such is life"

Megaton Dub Volumes 1 & 2 were my go to comedown tool - lying on the couch wondering when solid food will be possibility again, smoking a spliff and letting the bass soothe me while the higher registers spiral off into outer space and ghostly voices offer uplifting advice - a masterclass in phasing and echo control - perfectly suits that weird trippy liminal state that not sleeping for a couple of nights will induce
