they look nice, i want them right now. might have them tonight, or pizza.
I went out for dinner tonight and by an incredible slice of fortune they actually had lamb on the menu.... lamb and almonds in fact, was really fucking great.

Glad to hear we are both happy; had a kind of tapas thing with my friend from Germany, it featured monkfish cheeks, beef salad and poke - and also the lamb and almond thing.
It was quite a good illustration of what we were talking about the other day cos he was properly tucking into the lamb when it suddenly hit me that the saucers flavour had maybe been enriched with wine so I said "Oh fuck, sorry mate, I think there might be alcohol in this" and he went "Eh I don't care, if you don't know it's not your fault" - which part of me sort of wants to jokingly say is picking and choosing which rules to follow, but in all honesty, it sounds completely reasonable to me - far better than beating yourself up for something that was out of your control.

yeah i eat a lot of fish and chips and used to be quite anal about asking what oil it was cooked in (vegetable or beef dripping) but i've stopped doing it now and just get on with it. also i ate doner kebabs for ages before someone told me they had a lot of beef and were no way 100% lamb.

one of the problems re fish and chips is that when its beef dripping fried, it tends to be nicer, crispier batter.

You're talking about the elephant's leg thing right? And I suppose that was what Yyaldrin meant too when he was talking about turkey contamination... I've never heard those specific claims before but I can't imagine it would come as a massive surprise to anyone if it turned out that those things weren't the purest prime lamb.

But, if it's any kind of reassurance to you, they sell beef doners here (I don't really like them and go for the chicken option as a rule) and they really taste completely different to the things sold as lamb in the UK - if those are bulked out with beef then there can't be too much of it in there - and to be honest it seems a strange idea cos beef ain't much cheaper than lamb is it?

Had a double double something burger ordered for lunch courtesy of work. If we ever get treats it’s usually a Monday to inspire willing, rather than Friday when it’s too late

Felt high on monosodium glutamate, fats, salts and sugars, then the crash. First time in aeons and McMing fries have that over-salty more-ishness that’s headed straight to arteries. Cleaned the plate, rubbish at the very bottom of the bin in case other half sees
