I'll write a proper reply later, but for now all I'll say is that to go "crawling" for evidence of the modern GOP's dysfunction would be a bit like searching for sand while standing on a beach.

And it's totally false to frame this as a "conservatives vs liberals" issue, involving two more or less equivalent sides that have different but equally valid ways of seeing things. We're talking about a cult that believes child-murdering warlocks secretly rule the world. If there's one thing that ain't, it's conservative.
Use words properly. Cults imply coordinated leadership. A dispersed conspiracy theory originating on 4chan isn't a cult under any reasonable definition.

I don't see any coverage of GOP dysfunction because I don't follow liberal political coverage. So yes, "if you see it it's for you," in the immortal words of TLP. I didn't suggest you explicitly searched it out. I suggested you subscribed to feeds (liberal friends, liberal platforms) that have obvious incentives to push such narratives on you. The GOP is dysfunctional I'm sure but that's political parties in general—even liberals in the states know the Democratic Party establishment is a corrupt and clueless entity.

Implicating Jews in the ritual sacrifice of white Christian children is "lite anti semitism"? What then do you consider the real deal?
Not an expert in QAnon but from reading its Wiki just now, it doesn't appear that racial stuff is canon. Indeed, despite the wiki being excoriating and detailed, I can't find the word Jewish, Judaism, or anti-Semitic anywhere on it. (OFC, I have also heard endless complaints of QAnon being antisemitic, from the left, but if no one can even cite a source on a highly contested Wiki page... Well it sounds like more race-baiting by the libs. NB: this is not a claim that there aren't antisemitic or racists QAnon supporters, there obviously are. It's a claim that you're stretching the truth making QAnon fundamentally about race.)

Hahaha, somebody has edited that page in the several hours since I last looked at it.

Take a look: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=QAnon&diff=1047686261&oldid=1047648782

Prior to that edit, the words "Jew/Jews/Jewish" appeared eight times, and "anti(-)semitic/ism" 26 times.

And when you say this:

You're basically admitting that you consume an incredibly biased diet of news, then? In fact, if it doesn't mention *anything* that could be construed as "critical" of Trump or the Republican party - even if it's objectively true - then it's not really news at all, but pure propaganda, is it not?

To take one example: there is a recorded phone call that Trump made to Georgia's Sec of State, in which he asked the guy to "find" enough votes to overturn Biden's victory in the election. I've actually heard the relevant part where he says that. It's a real thing that really happened. Now you seem to be implying that a media organization would need to have a "liberal bias" even to report that story. Is that your position here?

Which takes Stephen Colbert's observation that "reality has a well known liberal bias" to a whole new level.

I don't consume political news dude. Because politics is for perverts and masochists with an impotence fetish. You already know who you're voting for, you don't even live in this country—what is US political news except perversion? What's it achieve? What important actions change in your life?

Liberal views on the two issues I know about—because they aren't just pure political theater—COVID and climate change—are about as skewed as conservative views albeit in the opposite direction.

Don't you find it a little gross, spending your time crawling for evidence the Other Group is bad? Sure, you can protest you don't do that intentionally, but it's what liberals wants which is why lib-catering media and social media networks provide it in such abundance. And if you grew up in a conservative culture, you'd think some pretty heinous things about Dem morals too.
He did grow up in a conservative culture albeit the respectable English Tory doesn't nessarily have much in common with a Bible Belt republican.

Well you've been missing out on some pretty great gossip, if you want to look at it that way.

Weird how someone else here instinctively knows what tags to post, that you will find the most amusing and gratifying.

Positively uncanny, in fact.

This is very true.

But still, I wonder—when tracking political news makes people so unhappy, when it breaks their bonds with countrymen—why do we do ir? What do we get out of it, at the cost of mental health? There's something there. People do not act in costly ways without reason.
