Dissensus DAO

Doesnt that mean that the entire enterprise is subject to the human factor? If we can decide whether the initial conditions favour @luka or not, or impose whatever sort of regime we choose?
dissensus doesnt really have decision points, but i think having a DAO, or an NFT or a blockchain sounds fantastic, as long as it satisfies the conditions alluded to in the post above https://trends.google.co.uk/trends/explore?q=dissensuscoin
And yeah it is still subject to the human factor, as opposed to unfolding in a vacuum, but the human factor here can be severely diminished.

What do we do with the tokens? What's the DAO for? It all seems reasonable, but also I think having a reason is good
In this case the tokens would just represent voting power, and more fundamentally enable voting in the first place. But in theory we could program further utilities into the token.

But again we would need something to vote on, such as a book or a forum overhaul, something that gives value to the token.

If this were a blockchain, we'd be able to vote on whether or not to rewind the history and pick up before things went awry. @version maybe that's what nick land meant by solving the problem of spacetime.

There was a major hack on Ethereum some years ago, and they (the node operators) managed to coordinate a blockchain-wide rewind and effectively undo the recent history of the ledger. Shows that blockchains aren't entirely immutable, but the coordination involved is cumbersome to say the least.

So a bunch of disparate posts that compromised the flow of the thread?

I'm surprised I haven't gotten multiple threads locked myself.

i've never once taken the slightest interest in my life in what anyone else was eating, ever. i've never looked at someone eating and thought mmm that looks nice, i wonder what it is. i can't try the stuff in the dinner of the day thread to see if it's nice. i'm never going to try any of the recipes. most of the photos look like they are of vomit. it strikes me as just people showing off (what they think is) their amazing diet. lock it

better the above post than repeatedly posting in the actual thread "that looks revolting @whoever, i can't believe you eat that slop"

I've never read any poetry threads for many of the same reasons but I don't wish they'd disappear.

alright yes that's a very reasonable point like all your points are reasonable almost to a fault. the difference is though you can read the poetry in the poetry thread and see if you like it. but yes you're right of course.
