that's what made me pause
but that might be a good thing

For me dissensus is a transient experience, complete train of thought, don't tend to think about what I've posted after I've posted it. I hate to see something "liked" it reminds me of the past

Might be cool if Dissensus did a masquerade, with everyone making new accounts and we'd have to figure out who everyone is. Maybe even throw a few bots in there.

but it probably does bring out the worst in me. but turning them off altogether would be a big move, especially if we couldn't go back.

The reactions loosen it up a bit and allow for more humour. Nobody wants to be typing out "Hahaha!" or "Lol!" whenever someone says something funny, but it's that or just leaving jokes hanging if there aren't any reactions.
