Coffee mate is a fake milk/cream thing isn't it? I realise it's only been available in the uk for between twenty and twenty-five years so it still seems weird to some.... but... again, not that strange.

this is a great video in terms of strange american things. the garden. the desert. the major road behind the house. the interior decorating. the contents of the fridge.
lol you always have good youtube finds, that's perfect. aside from the desert texture pack there are infinite houses exactly like that everywhere in america.

i feel like America is becoming much more multicultural is that right? it used to be people always said it was rigidly serregated but now it seems more of a melting pot
these are both examples of the same thing. amateur teams of middling skill levels propelling themselves to the point where they command an actual fan base through their YouTube content

Or let's be fair, when you watch amateur sport it looks super slow which is not happening so much there so probably a pretty quick game. But what I mean is that that team cannot travel round taking on all comers and making them look stupid with training ground tricks and nutmegs at which is what you get in some of those basketball videos I think.
To be honest I don't really get how those work anyhow. If you're not good enough to be a pro how can you be totally confident of beating the best local players... and if you are good enough then why waste your time trying to make money like this?
There are probably loads of videos of those guys getting their arse kicked which they don't upload.

the football one, that team is in a league. i think they do take on challengers but mostly its the league games they show and they include losses.
the basketball ones also include losses but they work differently as its not a leauge its an invitational team that as you say travels the country taking on challengers.

I think Farscape is pulling off the gonzo looney tunes material, especially since so much of it is about John's mind and imagination spilling into reality.

Yeah I did watch the whole of that football video and I gathered that they are in a league. They narrowly beat that other team and next week, no doubt, they could narrowly lose. I suppose that the idea is you start to get to know the players and so you start rooting for them, knowing each of their individual strengths and weaknesses and having personal favs. From that game I noticed the tall guy with white trainers who was lazy but had good feet (can't think why I identified with the one you might describe as a luxury player) and that kind of individual interest is precisely the sort of thing they need. I would have thought though that the most important thing for winning fans to the channel was decent commentary, which makes this team surprising in that the guy speaking was.... well, you know, nothing against the guy, but he wasn't exactly stunningly witty. If that is the standard to beat then maybe there is a potential vacancy for someone who has a velvet smooth voice, the ability to think on their feet and a penetrative understanding of the game which they can pour out like molten silver to draw in the novices and convey the finer points to the initiates. Or failing that, someone, a bit funnier at least. Also they should get some more individuals, one guy with bright pink boots, another with hair like Valderama... perhaps a real fucking porker with feet like JJ Okocha... what I'm saying is that someone who really set about it in the right way could create a really perfect team to dominate youtube.

But yeah, that whole model is quite different from "the professor" going to a (supposedly) random court, having a war of words with some guy and then beating him like a red-headed stepchild, doing silly stuff like tricking the guy so he ends up facing the other way and then bouncing the ball off his unprotected back... properly taking the piss. I'm asking, does he ever come up against one of the (presumably) thousands of players who are or were on the fringes of an NBA team and against whom that kind of stuff would be impossible? And if he gets dicked on does that make its way to youtube?

when I was teaching I thought it was interesting how everyone said the n word, all creeds and races, no one was upset about it. My highschool was pretty white so I cant compare but my middle school was overwhelmingly minority majority and the white kids did not have that same pass

i dont think the professor includes losses as far as i know and he's visibly slowing up as he moves towards 40. his thing is a bit more Harlem Globetrotters, i dont think he;s supposed to lose, it's a bit different

Imagine he challenges you and then you kick his ass... and then he says "sorry mate, you don't get to go online cos you won" - I would be less than happy.
