CORPSES ON THE STREETS!
I was reading Abel Ferrara on the pandemic yesterday. He's lived in Italy since 9/11 so he saw the worst of it,

"I’m in Rome and we’re hanging in there, but the nightmare is in Milan, where there’s no room in the hospitals and they can’t even bury the bodies. I don’t know what people are seeing on TV, but I think they’re using Italy to scare the shit out of everybody else. In the north, it’s psychoville: the hospitals can’t handle it, there’s the most old people in the world outside of Japan, and it just nailed them. They had no idea what was going to happen. Who knows what it’s going to be like in a few weeks here. We’ve been quarantined for a long time now. And as locked down as everybody is, they’re still going out for food. You can’t starve to death. You gotta eat, and you gotta hope you have have money to eat. When everything shuts down for a month, it’s really hard for everybody. It’s like The Twilight Zone, it’s uncharted territory."

You would think. But then one problem here is that in summer it's well above 30 degrees every day so without the Aircon on, and therefore windows closed, it's horribly uncomfortable. Then they have a mask clamped on their face all day - perfect breeding ground for diseases surely, aside from all the other problems with little kids and teachers wearing masks all day)

All that bothers me more than getting him vaxxed, especially as it looks like they're gonna be continuing with the masks in schools...forever?
Does the aircon process itself not kill the virus, I wonder? Or there must be some way, you'd have thought, of both keeping the air moving in a way that reduces the infection risk, and also keeps it at a comfortable temperature in the Spanish summer.

I agree that having kids sat there in masks all day sounds pretty unpleasant for them.

so in a given class there will be kids with masks (the ones not vaxxed) and kids with masks (the unvaxxed)? can't you just fake some sort of document?

I'm not sure but I think Aircon is pretty unhealthy in general, it's not good to have it on all the time but the summer here is a absolutely brutal. You have to have windows closed for it to work properly.

At the moment they all have to wear masks all the time from age 5 up. Who knows in the future? It's fucking ridiculous. I've got the feeling now that they'll always have to wear them.

A family who live in the flat above me have gone quite mad, self-imposing a 10 day isolation because of some possible 3 times removed contact with an infected person, and despite having tested negative twice (they don't believe the tests). So they'va had a 7 year old girl cooped up in the house all over the Xmas holidays going insane.

The same woman I remember told me she'd been washing her hands with bleach at the time of the first outbreak.

God, how awful. That's like the flipside of the people who think the entire pandemic is a fiction of some kind.

My cousin and her hubby still sequester themselves at home, sterilise all shopping etc even though they have had all the jabs and covid to boot

Some British schools are beginning to issue statements on masks in class being a net negative - I reckon this will soon be a private school selling point

Like my mate that hates the poor. We walked into a pub the other day, and he was like, Nah, this looks like the sort of place where theyve got corona and I thought, hang on, you had it yourself about three weeks ago lmao

They will transition to using them against flu even though the WHO sez they are useless against it

The WHO can change what they say at any point depending on what is politically expedient. I knows cos Shaka told me and he knows how the WHO works
