Mr. Tea

Let's Talk About Ceps
If we avoid nuclear apocalypse then it seems clear that this will be a major victory for US hegemony, at least in the short term. Europe back under NATOs umbrella, transatlantic relationship repaired, the old enemy humiliated and/or stuck in a quagmire of endless insurgency and sanctions, GOP Russophiles exposed and scurrying for cover, arms flowing across the atlantic like the (rapidly diminishing) gulf stream. The constraint of Russian disinfo and soft power destabilisation alone would be major triumph.

our gas prices at the pump have nearly doubled in the past 12-15 months, and it's still probably below the pre-invasion price in UK/Europe. people here are very spoiled.

It depends on what happens over the next few months but if Putin doesn't get his face smashed in Biden will be irrevocably damaged. I think that's perfectly obvious. Craner agrees.

what do you think of biden's decisions so far? try to be specific, what could be done better or worse?

you dont understand how this works Leo. what matters is what happens on his watch not what decisions he may or may not have made

people see the headlines. they know what they pay for petrol and food and rent. they dont know what decisions the boss has made.

I was asking a different question. wanted to know your thoughts, not that of "people".

I'm not going to vote in the elections, and in any case I've got no idea what he's done or failed to do. I just see footage of him looking doddery and senile.

I just watched a senate intelligence committee hearing on the war in Ukraine, with various IC agency heads, and the whole biolab question took up maybe ten minutes of the open session, which is saying a lot considering it appears to be a non-issue.

Barty says Craner is definitely wrong in his prognosis. But he's really thrilled to see the new lease of life this war has given him. He said he's like a man reborn.

I wonder if part of the reason men, and the men of dissensus in particular, love war is the sense that this is one of the core roles of the aged man, to give advice on the prosecution of war. Do it like this.
