Deep Electro

This is another electro track which I consider deep (mainly because there are no melody or strings sounds, not really a bassline either). One of those few tracks that rewired my aesthetic circuits when I first heard it as I had a few years in the mid 90s where 75% what I heard was akin to a purification ritual

Love to mix it with stuff like ultra minimal acid like Mike Ink or DBX.

I like my electro as deep as a puddle to be honest
With nice synchronicity, just after thinking of this tune for the first time in 15 years I heard it played out the other day at Ministerium. Not actually sure who the DJ was but he had pitched it waaaay down, I guess both to mix it and to make it less mental/cheesey.

Ok I am on a totally different wavelength from you cos when I heard deep electro my immediate thought was of lush, probably melancholic melodies on top of an electro chassis, maybe I'm getting this utterly wrong then... I'd be interested to know what the others are thinking regarding the place of melodies in so-called deep electro.

Edit; I dig the tune anyhow

Seems as though you know more about the place than me... I've only been there once, dunno why cos when I finally went there I thought it was pretty much the best club in Lisbon (though apparently I was lucky that the programming was quite different that time and right up my street).

Let's Talk About Ceps
It sounds like it's trying to be a really highbrow, up-market version of Ministy Of Sound.
