Found a different hard drive last week with some more sets from 2003-2007.
Since having a quick listen to some of them my brain is constantly popping questions into my head along the lines of:
"I wonder what Slicks is up to now?"
"I wonder if Danny Weed still makes tunes?"
"I wonder if Jamakabi...
I know I'm a bit late with this but did anyone follow the Australia v India series?
Truly it was a modern classic.
India's run chase in the final test was incredible. Don't think I've every seen a batsman get hit as much as Pujara in that innings.
I really like that someone donated precisely $47 to "win our country back by whatever means necessary"
Surely if they feel that strongly about it then they should be remortgaging their house or selling a kidney or something?
Rah Dogzilla! I always had more time for him than his MCing deserved cos he was basically the only certified West Ham fan in the scene (despite 80% of grime MCs coming from east London!)
Been working my way through some of these sets. So many rushes of nostalgia.
Anyone know what the following MCs are up to now:
Bruza?
Mr Wong?
Syer B?
Ears?
Manga?
I found my old hard drive the other day with about 900 grime sets from pirate radio..
Started playing some having not really listened to any in ages. It was weird being reminded that this was pretty much all I listened to for a couple of years.
Made it feel like it was music from another...
We made it to the zoo!
Yeah it's a good one. My daughter loved it. Didn't get to see the sea lions perform though :-(
Amsterdam's good innit? Bare canals!
Er, do you know that someone wrote a poem inspired by Wiley's Snowman instrumental and read it on Radio 4?!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04m6ght
(if you listen to the whole show the poet talks a bit about his love of Wiley and they play a clip of Snowman!)
