Oh man you're actually so right. Kpop and Jpop groups are truly mass consumer products, huh. Especially when you consider how at least in the J-pop world you have dozens of "junior" groups which are essentially copies of the main groups, and present the exact same music in the exact same way...

Haha. Well I'm pretty into Death Grips. Artists like Bedroom and Current Joys make more "ambient" type noise music, and does remind me of hauntology a fair bit. Particularly with Bedroom it does put you both in a very familiar place, but also one that's disconnected from any contemporary world.
