Thanks trilliam, much appreciated. @continuum yeah, I see what you mean about the tempo / pitched up thing. I was half cut when I listened to it & didn't really notice. I hope its not a case of pitching tunes up to match the dubs, I really love the low 120bpms of deep/tech & would hate for it...

Because of the MCing? The tunes sound almost as far from Funky as any House can get to me. Not even any of the stuff like 'Gotham' or 'Such a Rush' & its loads of dubs as well right? Barely a garij hat, afro drum sample or syncopated snare, but loads of one note basslines, techy synths, roland...

There's a tune in that Truce / Supa D, gets wheeled about 39mins, hard tom & analog percussion, moody synths & 'do me to the rhythm' vocals. Pretty sure its a tune that a few funky DJs played... I know I have it somewhere if so, but, cannot for the life of me remember what its called... anyone?

I love how those House Ent X5 tunes just end, no outro, none of that soft house 64 bar drum loop mix out stuff. Sounds as tho he is still using the same vocal tag from bassline days as well. I have this perverse wish that someone from the midlands would re-vocal some of those old 'this is house'...
