I, of course and probably foolishly, have ordered the book. I will let you know.

Eno's Ambient 4 'On Land' - Recommendations for Similar?

If 'sinister/atmospheric' = 'dark ambient' then what about: Lustmord - Dark Matter, Place Where the Black Stars Hang, Strange Attractor 12" (also on the Purifying Fire compilation) Deathprod - Morals and Dogma, Imaginary Songs From Tristan Da Cunha :zoviet*france: - Digilogue, Shouting at the...

    K-Punk

Desperately sad news. I was at secondary school in Loughborough (the one he hated) one year below Mark and remember him clearly. Many of us decorated our ruck sacks with our current music allegiances - his were The Fall and Bauhaus... as I didn't know any better (literally) mine were a number...

Sounds great and I agree live is the way to go... the PE Headpress book has just arrived and looks pretty interested as you mentioned... and you are probably aware of this, but: http://harbingersound.bigcartel.com/product/ramleh-a-return-to-slavery-lp

:) Excellent! Really looking forward to reading it now... and how was Merzbow? I have a few recordings but am slightly put off by the size of the discography... but suitably crushing I hope

    A perfectly reasonable position :D

I'd say they weren't as loud/noisy as the last time but nevertheless I really enjoyed it - perhaps even more than the recent recordings - and I though Sarah's vocal's were excellent and move things in another direction. I am a rubbish music critic though  :)

Glad the Ramleh live guitar assault hit all the right buttons for you - kicking myself for missing it to be honest... I have just order the Headpress book - your review reminded me but I take the warning about the micro-scene documentation... Yes, that is the Con-Dom album I was thinking of -...

Thanks John - Yes Circular Time is a bit of a monster and probably could have used some editing... Glad you enjoyed the OTO event and that they've improved their three-piece approach since the BF festival... Have you pick up the recent 12" on Entropy? Pretty keen on the noisy side... and I see...

Anyone else enjoying 'Circular Time'? or the recent rash of Kleistwahr CDs? Certainly been enjoying the elegiac vibe of the latter... And John - how was the Cafe Oto evening?

    London - THE YOUNG GODS - 15/12/13

It really was that good wasn't it... I am sure I will do the same...

    London - THE YOUNG GODS - 15/12/13

Glad you enjoyed it... :D it was up there for me as well... We missed the first support but seems like they were in keeping... it was long night for us as well... but worth it... what a great drummer by the way...

    London - THE YOUNG GODS - 15/12/13

Marvellous! I was also at this. The support bands I saw were laughable but The Young Gods were fantastic... as they always are, but maybe even better... why they are not massive I don't know... I hope you enjoyed it!

I've got a pass for the whole weekend - anybody else foolish enough to be there? Yes the 'Awake!' thing will be out then plus some other 'exclusives'...
