it's messed the formatting up, rippling was arranged like harp strings, but you get the idea

I don't find his stuff unpleasant though. It doesn't make my ears hurt or crackle.

funny, I saw ikeda live once, it was really loud and distinctly remember it making ears hurt and crackle. I liked it, was an enjoyable sound experience unlike any I've had, but a challenge to endure. not a noise nutter, tho.
 
Really good one that uncut gems. Cascading arps give this effect. I think he’s doing Vangelis better than Vangelis with this stuff. It connects with me more anyway. Maybe it’s the crisp mix and the fact he brings A bit humour in where they can feel a bit pompous
