I used to be self-conscious about being lanky but now that I've grown to normal proporttions the thing I'm most self-conscious about is having a small head on a relatively large body. It's not weirdly small so you would stop and look at it on the street or anything but if I point it out to you you might go Oh that's right it's a bit small.

I was standing behind someone in the check out queue the other day and I was astounded by his head. Not only the nice big size of it but also the shape which was very geometrical and had the back of the skull curving outwards in a very proper and worthy fashion. They don't make heads like that anymore, I thought. It looked like something out of 50s movie. And his dark hair was smooth yet thick, neatly combed. He looked very 'gentlemanly'.

I have a friend who's the same height as me (so fairly tall, but not @john eden or @DannyL levels of lankiness) but who has a truly massive head, as well as narrow shoulders, which make it seem even bigger.

He's really sensitive about it, so I take every possible opportunity to joke about it. Because he's my friend.

It makes me feel better that people with big heads are also self-conscious about it. From my perspective, a nice big head would be all I need in order to be happy in life. A nice beautiful big skull and a cool jacket that would last a life time.

With its tiny head and massive torso, it's hard to believe that this statue offers a true representation of Peter the Great, the founder of the Peter and Paul Fortress (and of St. Petersburg). According to sculptor Mikhail Shemyakin, however, it was based on the death-mask and wax figure of Peter kept in the Hermitage. Either way, this striking statue, placed on a bench in front of the Main Guardhouse building in 1991, is one of the most popular sights in the fortress.

I never thought about this once, in 40+ years, until last year when I ordered a cheap baseball cap off eBay, because my hair was so long it was jabbing my eyes. It doesn't fit - even with a haircut since and that adjustable thing on the back, it looks tiny on me and...just wrong.

So I think I might have a big head. Though I have so many other physical defects it's going to have to the back of the 'give a toss' queue for now.

Have no idea, a full head of hair is enough and my Dad’s old Celtic hats fit

A triffic source of nicknames at school - we had Chickenhead (not the US version) AND Codhead. Chickenhead was this weird looking cunt whose Dad poached the Trent. Codhead was epically cursed. You don’t get named that for fuck all. Such is life

An old mate has a wonky, misshapen skull and he’d be the 1st to admit it. So much so that when his better half got pregnant years ago, he got really antsy until the birth. “What if they look like me? What if they’re a girl and they look like me?”. Cue 2 girls. Bright, happy and healthy

I want to know what the "US version" of Chickenhead is.

Did Codhead have the "Innsmouth look"?

i've thought about this and often wondered what happens to that substance that is flattened, does it transfer to another part of the head like it's a dough being molded, or does it just not develop?
