Mr. Tea

Let's Talk About Ceps
Haven't they updated it by sticking "... but with bio-genetics and a go get em' attitude" on the end?
That sounds a bit like saying "Imagine a pizza, only made from meringue, fruit and whipped cream" when actually you mean a pavlova.

Mr. Tea

Let's Talk About Ceps
A walker has been left furious after a HS2 perimeter intrusion detection system apparently reported her to police for walking on a public footpath.

Marian Allder and her husband were walking their cockapoo between Berkswell and Ballsall Common when they encountered a rather strange experience.

The area between Coventry and Solihull is popular with walkers due to its picturesque scenes and general tranquillity.

However, their pleasant Sunday morning stroll turned into anything but when ear-splitting sirens and an authoritative voice with a strong Northern Irish accent blew away all hope of a peaceful walk.

well the pre modern conception of man is a transcendent ideal, whereas the modern conception is that it's a social construct where everything is up for grabs

doesn't the state operate under the assumption that man is something approaching a 'transcendent ideal?' A unique individual capable of reason and logic to peruse his/her own ends? Even if this isnt necessarily believed to be true by the state itself this does seem to be the assumptions it operates on

Im saying that the neoliberal conception of man seems a little like the pre modern one. I thought the conception of man as up for grabs, a complete construct, was a cultural conception to be quibbled over by artists and academics and not necessarily related to governance. the neoliberal conception of man and the postmodern conception are two different things I think is what Im saying.

were probably just using different definitions of neoliberalism, the law of all neoliberal talk because no one knows what it is

"We are a custom sixgun shop dedicated to the old school sixgunner. We follow the theories of Elmer Keith and John (Pondoro) Taylor. Theirs was one of big bullets, so is ours. Bullet weight and caliber are constants in external ballistics; velocity is a constantly diminishing variable. I believe high velocity to be a superb killer if placed with exact precision, and if it reaches the inside of the man. But without exact placement, it lacks the penetrating qualities and thus it wastes its energy in flesh wounds. The big bullet does not have these shortcomings. It will penetrate fully from any angle, thus letting you take shots with confidence that you would otherwise pass up with a 'little' gun. I for one do not like big guns, just big bullets. With this in mind we offer models and ideas to the old school sixgunner.

Remember, old school to us is powerful, practical, and packable."

the neolib and the medieval conception of man is very different
I didn't get the impression it was a particularly rigorous comparison. It reads to me as the author just grabbing an obvious example of a strict, moralising institution.
