Maybe it's a new angle for low level artists to make a decent return on their work for once? As long as the music is good maybe a new door is opening? They sell a few, get a decent rep and then djs and listeners after exclusives would buy on sight as used to happen with certain labels and artists

That's the way to do it. I love software, but to really put some life in there the quickest way is running some stems out of the interface, through a piece or two of hw and back in. Cheap old samplers, mixers you can get for 100 quid. Works wonders

The lightly crunched out and overdriven drums with just the right amount of swing. Those lower chords enveloping you with a loving but subtly spooky edge. Those occasionally layered with the higher freq ever so slightly jarring chords evoking much more tension and then that subterranean bassline...

Different on a big system in among a load of other tunes tho innit

That "hard soul" thing as an approach = 🔥 Opposing forces coming together. The soul in the midst of the anonymous and lonely city, all woven together via intertwining roots of all the cultures and characters, surviving, making it through, with chunky ass house music ❤️

2 other djs I still need to check that get name dropped by so many other djs I respect are Ken Collier out of Detroit and Tee Scott from NYC. Collier was huge for Detroit underground house and Scott was knocking around with and influencing the who's who of the NY/NJ sphere. Big influence on Tony...

New recruit here too. When I put it next to things like MURK in my head, it feels like it's coming from the same subterranean place. Would love to hear a 6-9 hour mix of Tenaglia at his peak. A lot of people I respect say that was it for them

You can watch it like that, but for me at least I know there's a certain amount of work required on my part so it pays to be alert enough to take it in at a decent level
