    Music that sounds like this?

Just the name. Apparat Organ Quartet is an Icelandic organ quartet, lots of fun to see live if you get the chance. One of them, Jóhann Jóhannsson, makes lovely neo-classical / ambient stuff too. Don't know about other similar music Im afraid, but to me its sounds like an italo / kraut hybrid...

    Boiler Room spotting: Powell

MixesDB is pretty good for this sort of collective wiki style trainspotting. This is the set no? Not too many id's, but its a start I guess. http://www.mixesdb.com/w/2014-09-22_-_Powell_@_Boiler_Room_-_Diagonal_x_L.I.E.S.

if New York can die so can London

http://www.residentadvisor.net/news.aspx?id=27655 A shame. I only ever went in the last year or so, so I can't compare it too how it was before they changed it (a lot of people on here hated these changes I seem to recall), but still I really liked the place and had a few really good nights there.

    Nick Land and Neocameralism

Lots of info and links in this article: http://techcrunch.com/2013/11/22/geeks-for-monarchy/ The points on "The Cathedral" are interesting, adds a bit of conspiracy nut angle to the whole thing. Also, what Mr. Tea said on the wars and atrocities of the 20th century.

    Dubstep

sorry if this is spammy, posted it in the jungle thread too, but figure it belongs here as well. I created dubstep artist/label networks from the Discogs.com datasets: http://www.karltryggvason.com/discogsgrapher/ browse around to see how artists connected via labels and how the scene evolved...

I was playing around with the Discogs.com dataset and made this thing: http://www.karltryggvason.com/discogsgrapher/ might be of interest to some of the 'nuum nerds here

    homeland

Haven't gotten started on S3 but I thought the ending to S2 jumped the shark a bit. Have heard mixed things about the first few episodes of S3, but I'll probably give it a go. My opinion on Claire Danes' character swings back and forth, sometimes find her a likable complex strong lead female...

    Drum'n'Bass 2013 (???)

Do you have a link to this, sounds interesting? I like the odd bits of old Bad Company and the early Virus/Ed & Opt. stuff I think has aged pretty well. Neurofunk is an apt name, so paranoid and machine like but still has such a great groove a lot of the time. When Im in the right mood I can...

if New York can die so can London

Ah, yeah someone told me this was not due to lack of power/speakers but a regulatory issue. Shame, music was great. Are noise constraints just due to proximity to residential areas or are there other factors? Yeah, was just thinking this, they do have lots of great lineups and a good system as...

    House/techno 2013

Got it last week, need to give it a few more plays but I really like it so far. Agree with this RA review pretty much. btw, people don't actually call this stuff outsider-house do they? As per the Guardian article, maybe it's just nuum-nerd clickbait?

if New York can die so can London

Hey London, please don't die, I only just got here. Went to the Wifey thing, my first night out here. Was really good (and great set btw), but the sound could have used a bit more oomph and the size/vibe kind of felt more like a houseparty than a club/rave. Not a bad thing mind you...

    Where to live in London?

Cool, good to hear that, helps the pre-move jitters. Man what a hassle moving is, London better be worth it (I'm pretty sure that it will be).

    Where to live in London?

I'll be moving to Brockley in September. As I'll be working from home we basically went for a place close to my girlfriends school (which is the purpose of the move). I found it surprisingly hard to find good information on what the neighborhoods are like online. Lots of link spam sites and...
