Nobody mentioned that fucking ballbag Lance Forman? What I find particularly offensive here is... well it's everything, but the sheer crass stupidity that has caused Forman to make the twisted logical leap to thinking (or more likely pretending to) that he can say that Raynor participated in porn, just cos some wanker made up a (fucking demented in itself) lie about Rayner crossing her legs in a way he didn't like. And then Forman is proud enough of this fucking disgusting bullshit to show it to the world like some kind of toilet training baby triumphantly showing us the contents of his potty. Except that this whole sorry saga - and Forman himself for that matter - are far more unpleasant than the worst imaginable potty contents.

What is his thinking? Is he dumb enough to think he has some kind of point? Is he that much of a bell-end that he somehow imagines he is being witty? Does he believe that he has scored some kind of point in the defence of the sex tractor guy? Why is so keen to defend that guy anyway, happy to throw away any remaining vestiges of his dignity and loudly announce to everyone that he is an incredibly unpleasant and stupid individual, simply o argue for the right of an utter wanker to wank at work.

This whole embarrassing excuse for a story is based on the idea that Johnson would somehow be distracted by seeing a vagina in front of him even though he is seemingly completely unaffected by the loads of massive cunts sat on either side of him.

Anyone else a tad suspicious about this steady stream of sex scandals coming from the Tories mostly involving gay men?

I don't doubt the events themselves occurred, but the timing's odd. The stories seem to be dropping almost weekly, like someone's sat on them for a while and decided now's the time to make use of them.

I read something the other day about Boris having a new bloke in the Cummings role who used to work for Lynton Crosby, who's very hardline, who's hostile to LGBTQ people, who says the party needs to get back to being genuinely conservative and who's pushing him to focus on crime, so I wonder whether, given their 80-seat majority, they're throwing a bunch of people they want rooted out of the party under the bus whilst giving Boris something to use to strengthen his position, further the culture war, show he cares about the rule of law and shore up his base without weakening his parliamentary grip too much.

There's no way there aren't a ton of straight Tory MPs who are equally shady and who the whips and leadership haven't heard stories about.

You say "steady stream" - has there been more than two?

It's always good to be on your guard about when and why these things become public, but I don't see how these scandals are anything other than damaging to the party as a whole.

There've been three so far: Imran Kahn, the MP who was arrested last week and the MP who's been accused today. I guess you could restrict it to two as Khan was convicted, so the process involving him obviously started quite a while ago, but two MPs in quick succession would still fit into my theory.

And yeah, they are damaging, but read what I said in the previous post. The Tories are in a tight spot already with partygate and everything else that's gone on, Boris is trying to pivot to a tough on crime stance under the guidance of a new and very conservative hire who wants the party to pull further to the right and there's suddenly been two successive scandals involving gay Tory MPs who he can now make an example of to demonstrate his toughness on crime and the new direction of the party whilst also feeding into conservative fears about LGBTQ people and kicking two of them out of the party at a time when it won't make much difference to his parliamentary majority.

I'm not saying this is the case, but it's crossed my mind and I don't think it's too implausible. They're certainly cynical enough.

Basically throw a couple of people the party can afford to lose under the bus at a time when they're already in a slump and use it as a springboard for an attempted reboot.

Oh right. I thought the news about the guy today was further info about the guy arrested last week.
