Yeah, see this guy I think is just some random Tory creep I wouldn't subscribe any sort of conspiracy theory to and the same goes for the one that got caught watching porn in parliament. I wouldn't extend what I'm on about above to either of them.
I just posted that one because it came up on my Twitter feed and seemed apposite to the thread - plus he was only a council candidate, not an MP.

But at the latest count 56 serving Tory MPs are under investigation for sexual misconduct of one sort or another, which is pretty astonishing. No doubt covering a range of severities.

Yeah, in time my theory might just seem more and more crackpot and paranoid, seeing patterns that aren't there.

This is the new guy working for Boris who's been compared to Cummings. The Times just ran a piece on him,

"... In the past fortnight he has made two high-profile interventions, pushing for a hardline approach to the Northern Ireland protocol and moving to block a windfall tax on oil and gas companies. He has also played a significant role in hardening the prime minister’s tone on trans rights.

He has told government advisers to focus relentlessly on identifying “wedge” issues that the Conservatives can use to delineate themselves from Labour and the Liberal Democrats in the run-up to the 2024 election. He has hailed the government’s policy of sending migrants to Rwanda as an exemplar.

Canzini’s muscular and unabashed conservatism has begun to mould Johnson’s administration in a way that delights many traditional Tories. They credit him with bringing a clarity and purpose previously lacking from No 10, forging an alignment of governing with campaigning that relentlessly focuses minds on winning the next general election."

PM wants to rip up union laws to let agency workers beat strikes

Boris Johnson is backing plans to rip up trade union laws that prohibit employers from breaking strike action by drafting in temporary workers.

Another option being considered is changes to limit the amount of overtime to which workers are eligible after taking part in strike action. It is understood railway workers often make up the pay lost due to strike action by topping up their wages with overtime.

Downing Street is also understood to be in favour of introducing “minimum service” obligations on the railways, which was proposed in the Conservative manifesto in 2019. This would involve passing laws requiring a minimum number of rail staff to work during a strike.

I’m struggling to keep up. Yesterday it was all about #BloJo, today a whip called, I kid you not, Pincher has resigned for drunkenly groping two blokes. What is wrong with these people? In 2017 Pincher was accused of making a pass at a former Olympic rower like a “pound shop Harvey Weinstein”.

The pinchees in this case were apparently male, which makes me think of the comment by someone here the other day that the Tory MPs whose sex-pest allegations keep coming to light all seem to be gay... when, given that 56 of them are under investigation, you'd expect most of the victims to be women, on a purely statistical basis.

Yeah, it's interesting. I dunno that my theory really holds up though as the leadership haven't made much of a show and all that's happening is the party's taking further damage with each breaking story.

I suppose it doesn't have to be any one thing. It could be a combination of coincidence, individuals within the party leaking things and victims coming forward.

Boris has fumbled this as well now. The bloke was just going to resign as deputy chief whip and stay on as an MP but the party's been pressured into suspending him altogether and it's come out that Boris knew about the allegations before appointing him to the position in the first place.
