Someone just posted this on tumblr. Its from last year so I presume its all news but I like it a lot. It is basically a pastiche of the classic garage sound, does that decrease its worth though?

I never listen to these things in recorded form because somehow the microphone only captures stale air and abject boredom.

I was there, it was actually pretty interesting...though everyone was tangibly disappointed that there was no hair pulling between muggs and reynolds. They'd been sat next to each other, clearly so that they'd be within clawing distance of each other, but alas...no clawing

there are a couple of points where muggs sounds a little pretentious but i thought he came off ok, had some interesting things to say. wonder what it would have been like if k-punk hadn't cancelled, i probably wouldn't have understood half the conversation.

wish reynolds had explained his fascination with metronomy, but alas.

Critical Beats seemed to me to be full of vague intellectual wandering; as if the panelists were considering the issues for the very first time. I was fully expecting to find Reynolds really annoying but thought he came across well, Joe Muggs has that kind of laugh-talking delivery that nearly always comes off as smarmy.

I agree with Secondline though that you often lose something with audio versions of these things so maybe I needed to be there.
