I reckon SETI hasn't found any extra-terrestrial civilisations yet because eventually they invent something like this and all get eaten or turned into "grey goo". Whoops!

this thing is insane, no remote control whatsoever except for the co-ordinates it needs to get to.

Repetitive
My flatmate just got a job designing the control architecture for an autonomous blimp. It's about a meter long, has a camera on it and it flys around and finds things for you. Or at least it will. It's a pretty sick job.

Personally I think his number 1 priority should be recreating this:

I love the fact that someone probably spent days maybe weeks programming a robot to do pressups. Still pretty :eek:

Not as good. One plus side to the sheer exhaustiveness of programming the groove is that the clout is unshakable, fixed.
