dizzee rascal's manager cage, who seems like a right one, tipped me 20 bucks for bringing his and dizzee's NYC sneaker purchases up to dizzee's room... (and yes, like a fanboy i had to look a the pile of shoes, then look at dizzee and say "trainers by the truckload, trainers by the ton?".... dizzee: "yeah, man" (in perfect dizzee voice))

i served Dicky Attenborough at the restaurant i used to work at, ugh what an orrible little man. the bill came to £300 for 3 of them and he paid with a card, declined to leave a digital tip and then left a 1 quid coin on the table with a conspiratorial wink in my direction. nice.

Hugh Grant left a huge tip and bought all the staff (including washeruppers!) shots of frangelico!

I got a bottle of champagne once off Michael Winterbottom's producer after they started an order at a (very busy) bar and then got into a conversation while I waited for them to finish their order. And waited. And waited. And eventually lost it and went "Oh don't mind me, I'm obviously worth ignoring, after all I only get paid fucking 4 pounds an hour and it's obviously not really fucking busy in here and I blatantly don't have anything better to do than wait around for fucking film directors".
They were embarrassed in front of all of their friends. I wasn't expecting the producer to come in the next day and say sorry to my face and give me a bottle. It was a really nice touch, I really appreciated it.

couldn't you have just gone away and come back or is that not done? Sorry I've never really been a waiter. Nice of him to say sorry though.
