One Track/Song - Before You Die

You're mortal coil is about to shed and rattle for one final time, which one track/song do you wish you'd written/sung?

Johnny Cash - Walk The Line

Probably 'You've Lost That Loving Feeling', maybe 'Unchained Melody', maybe 'Suspicious Minds'. I wish that I could sing them all the time, let alone have written them.

But they're all so far away from what I can possibly achieve that I don't think it would even be going through my mind. I came close to getting hit by a motorbike in Vietnam last year and all I thought was 'Oh shit'.

Velvet Underground, 'What Goes On'. I refuse to believe a more genuinely euphoric song has ever been, or even in theory could be, recorded. I get shivers down my spine just humming this tune to myself, never mind listening to it.

First two things that came to mind were . . .

"relax your mind slowly unwind"

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value=""></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

And Silver Shadow which can make me weep, love, dance, smile. loved it long time.

"Then one star got brighter by the minute
Strange that it seemed to have my name written in it
I reached for the star and it kissed me with it's light
It made me cast a show that was silver and bright"

Darned cockwombles.
suspicious minds is a top call.

today, hounds of love - so singular, instant, mystical, emotive, unhindered by cool and utterly joyous.

God yeah, I love Phil Spector. And as for Suspicious Minds...god. Me and a mate sat there a while back just crying to that, it's just mindblowing.

There's a lot of love for that track on here, not one I'd really go for but if that makes you cry what the hell does In The Ghetto do? ;)
