i hate cyclists. rude inconsiderate and always out to trip up white cane users. ban them and destroy all their toys. and worse still they think they are ethical consumers by choosing not to ride in cars or use public transport. ultimate middle class nouveau rich hypocrisy. 'I'm doing my bit!' oh, bog off, half of the middle east and central asia is suffering from aridification because you did yer fucking bit forever not realising that doing yer bit meant being a bleeding heart liberal conformist of the highest order and internalising state climate catastrophe ideology, I.E: believing in the nation state as daddy. Are you also going to adopt a nation state daddy kink, really?

political meltdown mate. the 20th century labour/tory polarisations don't matter anymore. both the left and the right misunderstand this. Only the real god of self-valourisation survives. if this means Boris bankrupts himself, well, so be it.

hi @thirdform that's a post from 2010 you've replied to. to be honest i'm not sure what i was on about. spent many years tilting at windmills.

i am sorry that you get cyclists bumping into you on the pavement. it does make me pretty angry when perfectly fit adults choose to ride on the pavement. in fact i shouted at a woman yesterday.

the problem with cycling is that the need to "armour-up" emotionally when cycling on busy streets does mean many cyclists end up behaving like entitled twats. mrs ingram has been attacked in the car by self-righteous cyclists on at least a couple of occasions.

as you point out it is a bit of a stretch to say you're saving the world by riding a bike - and then go home and snort coke and eat avocadoes. but in itself is pretty harmless.

i do think you have a point though. even as someone who cycles every day.

No, it's simply an easy way to get about, and to laugh and point at fatties along the way. I also enjoy applying my squeaky brakes solely to enrage dogs. I hadn't thought of menacing the visually impaired, that's a good one.

Baffling how some cyclists will use the pavement rather than the adjacent cycle path made for them at great expense, often also off the road and colour-coded for easy identification.
